Alright, let’s talk about these here elevators for homes. Ya know, the things that take ya up and down, no need for stairs no more. I seen ‘em on the TV, them fancy folks got ‘em. But now, they sayin’ even us regular people can get ‘em. Imagine that!
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I heard some things. They got these things called pitless home elevators. That means they don’t gotta dig a big hole in your house, which sounds like a whole lot less mess. That’s good, ‘cause who wants a big mess? Not me, that’s for sure. And they say some of ‘em can even fit a wheelchair, so that’s good for folks who can’t get around so easy.
Then there’s them vertical platform elevators. They’re cheaper, they say. From five thousand to twenty thousand dollars. That still sounds like a lot of money to me, but I guess it’s cheaper than them other fancy ones. You can put ‘em inside or outside, which is kinda neat. Make it your own, they say, customize it how you want.
- Pitless Elevators: Don’t need a big hole, less mess.
- Vertical Platform Elevators: Cheaper, good for inside or outside.
They also got these things called platform lifts. They ain’t exactly elevators, but they do the same job, liftin’ ya up. And they’re a whole lot cheaper than them real elevators. So, if you’re lookin’ to save a few pennies, that might be the way to go. Especially for us old folks, they say it’s good for seniors.
Now, why would ya want one of these contraptions anyway? Well, some folks, they can’t climb stairs no more. Maybe their knees are bad, or they got some other problem. An elevator makes it easy for them to get around their own house. That’s important, bein’ able to stay in your own home. Nobody wants to leave their home.
And then there’s the fancy folks. They just want it ‘cause it’s fancy. They want the luxury, they say. They want to show off, I reckon. Well, to each their own, I always say. But even if you ain’t fancy, an elevator can make your life easier. No more huffin’ and puffin’ up them stairs, carryin’ groceries or whatever.
And it ain’t just for houses, ya know. They got ‘em for businesses too. Make it easy for everyone to get around. That’s good for business, I guess. More people can come in, more money to be made. That’s what they always say, “Time is money”.
Some of these elevators, they can be real pretty too. They got ones that blend right in with your house, you wouldn’t even know it’s there. And then they got them glass ones, all see-through. Like somethin’ out of a movie. Can you imagine? Ridin’ up and down in a glass box, lookin’ out at everything. That’d be somethin’.
And they talk about safety too. That’s important, especially when you’re gettin’ old. Don’t wanna be fallin’ down them stairs. An elevator, it’s safe and easy. No trippin’, no fallin’. Just push a button and up ya go. Or down, if that’s where ya need to go.
So, whether you need it ‘cause you can’t climb stairs, or you want it ‘cause it’s fancy, or you just want to make your life easier, there’s an elevator for ya. Just gotta figure out which one’s right for you and how much you’re willin’ to spend. And find a good company to install it, of course. You don’t want no shoddy work, that’s for sure. You want a good company, like them ones they got in New York, they say they are the leading ones. That’s what I heard, anyway.
So there ya have it, my two cents on these here elevators. Not that I know much, but that’s what I picked up listenin’ to folks talk. Hope it helps ya out some.
