But if you’re just a regular Joe like me, living in a regular neighborhood, I don’t know if it’ll make much difference. And you gotta think about safety too. What if the power goes out? What if it gets stuck between floors? You don’t want to be trapped in there, that’s for sure.
Now, if you’re gonna get one of these home elevators, you gotta do your homework. Don’t just jump at the first deal you see. Shop around, get some quotes, talk to different companies. Make sure they know what they’re doing, that they’re reputable and all that. And make sure they’re gonna be around to fix it if it breaks down. You don’t want some fly-by-night outfit that’s gonna disappear on ya.
And think about what you need. How big does it need to be? How much weight does it need to carry? Do you want it fancy with all the bells and whistles, or just something plain and simple? These are all things you gotta consider before you sign on the dotted line.
And one more thing, they say these elevators are more common in them fancy neighborhoods, you know, where the houses cost a lot of money. If you just got a regular house, it might look a little out of place. But hey, it’s your house, you can do what you want. Just make sure you think it through before you make a big decision like this.
